These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of LingoScript. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The service
LingoScript provides AI-assisted transcription of audio/video and translation of text. Output is generated by third-party AI models and may contain errors, omissions, or hallucinations. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.
2. Eligibility and account
You must be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
- You must own the rights to, or have permission to process, the content you upload.
- Do not use the service to process content you are not authorized to process, including content that infringes copyright, contains unlawful material, or violates the rights of others.
- Do not abuse the service through automated scraping, denial-of-service style traffic, or attempts to bypass quotas, rate limits, or access controls.
- YouTube URLs: by submitting a URL you confirm that you have the right to transcribe that content under YouTube's Terms of Service and applicable copyright law.
4. Plans, quotas, and billing
The Free plan includes monthly limits on transcription minutes and translation characters. Paid plans, when available, are billed in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change plan pricing or limits with notice.
5. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you upload and the transcripts/translations produced from it. You grant us a limited license to process that content as needed to provide the service. We retain ownership of the LingoScript software, branding, and infrastructure.
6. Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". AI output may be inaccurate. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) USD 50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
8. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.
9. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified by email or via the application. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
